Rundle-Spence Mfg. Co. was founded in 1871 by
Thomas M. Spence and Joseph P. Rundle. They foresaw a future in the manufacture of
plumbing supplies which included china and enameled iron fixtures, wash sinks and drinking
fountains. Mr. Spence was an executive of the company until the time of his death at age
81. Ownership of Rundle-Spence passed exclusively to the Spence family in 1900 when Rundle
sold out. Two sons, Thomas M. Spence, Vice-President and Edmund R. Spence,
Secretary-Treasurer, took over leadership at that time. The company was originally located at 445 N. Fourth Street in Milwaukee. Due to relocation of the Milwaukee Road Depot and expressway construction, the company moved to a 10-acre tract of land at 2075 S. Moorland Road in New Berlin in 1965. Rundle-Spence was the first business in the New Berlin Industrial Park. ![]() Rundle-Spence is a wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and industrial supplies. Our diversified distribution system includes pipe, valves and fittings; lines of plumbing fixtures and faucets, heating equipment, irrigation and industrial supplies. Our fab shop manufactures pipe fabrications and produces pipe assemblies. Mike Spence, current president and owner of the company, believes that diversification and loyalty to his customers are the strengths of Rundle-Spence. "All too often companies focus only on large accounts. We sought to see how we could help the smaller contractor fulfill his needs." The small contractor focuses on jobs ranging in size from small residential service to light commercial construction. It is our job to offer fast and expert service to all contractors. our 93,000 square foot warehouse in New Berlin we are able to maintain an extensive inventory of copper tubing, steel pipe, pipe fittings, fixtures, modules and faucets.
